Oh they know within minutes that the usual adult rules don't apply to their interaction with you. We all knew adults like that when we were kids too, not even necessarily pedo. I remember them being the coolest adults in the world, because they didn't mind existing with us in our "childish" world, even just temporarily. Far from seeming suspicious, they were very appreciated, like ambassadors from the far off land of Old-ness.
