When I think about things in this light it actually fills me with hope. What is practiced now is not true civil rights but a kind of McCarthyism: As the gaining of rights for individual groups has always come with the smearing and disenfranchisement of another group of people. Enabling real rights for children would solve so many problems that I'd almost consider such a society as borderline Utopian.
