The conversation I posted was not "word for word", it was a recollection, and moreover, condensed and modified to provide the gist without providing personal and/or identifiable characteristics and details. I thought the pseudo-conversational style which I used helped to bring the reader along in such a way as to allow them experience more naturally what I was feeling. While your version is inherently less romantic than mine, I suppose it does the job
