The Disney Princesses thing is a huge business. And they tend not to "outdate" them. I don't really think timeliness matters all that much with them. Like, it could've been fifteen years since the last Beauty and Beast project but there's still lots of Belle product being sold. Trust me, if you've got a Princess obsessed niece or something to shop for occasionally this is painfully obvious. They're really hard to shop for, way too much stuff to choose from. :S
