Probably 2. I'm not sure how specific I'd be in explaining my feelings on the subject (lest I be quoted), but I feel she's owed some kind of explaination beyond the "it's wrong" implied by 1. 3 sounds like a bad idea for all involved. 4 would be tempting, but likely to end badly.
