A. was having her last shower in Crete and i was packing my bags when there was a sudden knock at our door.
I opened and there was Jenny, our mutual little friend during the whole week.

The first time i saw her i was amazed, such a small and skinny girl for her age, but such a beautiful face and such a lovely tiny voice.
At first i laughed a bit about her bathing suit with sleeves until her elbows and the lower part reaching her knees; but later heard from her parent no sun block was capable to prevent her tender skin from burning.

She was 8yo and Danish and although we didn't speak eachother's language we played for numerous hours in the swimming pool and she even woke us to play with her.

But this time i wasn't able to tell her we were leaving and decided to take her to her parents for some translation.
Jenny started to weep softly when she heard we were leaving and i felt so sorry for my little friend.

A few hours later her parents (very, very nice people) came to say good bye while we were waiting for our transfer. Jenny silently cried all the time while A. tried to comfort her.
Her parents thanked us for being so nice to her and i got a long hug and kiss from her mother.

Finally a last hug and kiss for Jenny and both A. and I had to cry a bit.

We'll miss you little friend..
