There is love between men and homosocial comradery, but is it correct to say that's the same as a 'small bit of gay', gay I assume meaning homosexuality?

Same-sex attraction perhaps, but lately doesn't the word homosexual get taken to imply an exclusivity or at least preference? Probably not at the root (I think it literally does just mean 'same sex') but it looks like how that's gotten.

The same with pedophilia, even if at it's root the word phil=love, lately it's taken to mean sexual attractive exclusiveness or preference and it's not correct to associate that with slight attraction since the very idea of preference is that it's the most predominant, not 'a little'.

Like, for example: I think eugenics is a swell idea, but I would think it wrong and insulting for someone to say I had a little bit of Nazi/Hitler in me.
