A wonderful day (GM)

I was 13, and my mother had agreed to babysit two little girls, A and E for the day. I met them both when they came into my room to introduce themselves, and I was stunned by just how beautiful they both were. They both had bright, beaming faces with smiles warm enough to make even the coldest of hearts melt. Anyways, they both took an immediate liking to me, especially A, and they decided to spend what was an amazing day with me. I think they must have realized the effect they had on me - The joy that I felt every time I saw their radiant smiles, or heard them break out in laughter must have been very obvious... And there was no shortage of either. I remember that every time we walked somewhere else (and frequently just for fun), they would sit on my feet and have me carry them to our destination. It became an exhausting arrangement by the end of the day, but looking down and seeing them gazing up at me with their smiles stretching from ear to ear was a wonderful sight. A and E absolutely loved having me carry them like that. The day went like that in everything we did, with A and E taking the lead in deciding what we should do, and I wouldn't of had it any other way. There was never a dull moment, and I don't think that was even a remote possibility. The end of the day came more quickly than any of us could have imagined. I was very sad to see them go. They were very sad to be going, and plead to spend the night, to stay just a bit longer. But unfortunately, that wasn't possible and our euphoric day together had to come to an end.
An especially strong bond had formed between A and I. I remember that we could just be relaxing on the couch, casting each other playful glances while big smiles formed on our faces, both of us made happy simply by making each other laugh. But the best thing is what happened a few years later. A and her dad had stopped by our house for a while, because A's dad needed to ask my mother something. Unfortunately, I wasn't home to see her, but it turned out that A had missed me a lot. In fact, that was one of the reasons that they had stopped by instead of just calling. A was extremely disappointed when I wasn't home, but she wanted to do something nice for me, and so she decided to clean my room up a bit. Just a small gesture to show me that she cared about me, even after so many years and only knowing me for a day... I only wish that we had gotten a chance to see each other again...
