I went out shopping today for last minute gifts for Christmas, and I was stunned at how many little girls were out today. Recently we had a huge snowfall in my area, and I guess everyone had cabin fever, because today was a warm day so the snow was melting and people started to come out for their last minute shopping too. The stores were packed, but for whatever reason I didn't think of the schools shutting down for winter break, so kids were in full force today! Little girls and boys were everywhere, and of course I noticed all the little girlies. Cuteness overload? Indeed!

I was in a eatery, and a little girl and her father walks in, she's the most adorable little girl that I have seen in a long long time. She immediately got my attention, she was 8-10 years old, long blonde hair, blue eyes that I could just get lost in, she was wearing pink earmuffs, pink scarf, a kinda of a pink jumpsuit of some sort, pink shirt, pink shoes, and even pink socks (I can only imagine her underwear being pink too, but sadly I never got to see that!) anyway, I'm sitting there eating at a booth, and she comes right up to me and says "Excuse me sir, is there anyone sitting at this table, as she points at the table across from me. I told I didn't think so, and she said "Thank you sir" and gives me the biggest smile, and almost curtsies! She goes and sits down immediately, and my heart just melted. That was the only interaction I had that day with her sadly, but she did make a impression on me!

The second GM I had came when I was the store, picking up odds and ends, a little girl about 5 years old comes up to me, she's brunette, with sparkling brown eyss, and the sweetest little smile. She was wearing a very long petticoat, so everything was covered up, anyway she comes up to me and we had this conversation

her:"Santa is bringing me a gift!"
Me: "I'm sure he is, I bet you've been a very good girl this year."
her: "I don't know about that, I hit my brother all the time!"
me: "Well I'm sure he deserved it"
her: "Not really, he's just a boy"
me: "Boys can be nice"
her: "not my brother"

by this time her mother rounds the corner, scolds her for wandering off, apologized to me for her "bothering me" and rushes her off to the register.

Third girl moment came when I got to my babysitting job, as you may or may not know, I'm babysitting for a woman that I know that I met through an old friend of mine. She has 3 daughters, and I watch them on the weekends, and after school. The littlest one comes up to me as soon as I walk through the door

her: "Guess what Uncle Spike? Santa is coming in a couple of days!"
me: "Yes I know"
her: "I hope he brings me a new computer!"
me: "I don't know, does he know you want a new computer?"
her: "Of course he does, he's Santa Clause!"

cute...just cute!
