I don't know if you will read this or not, but I felt I should reply...

Lindsay, I'd like to start by saying that I don't know your exact personal circumstances, but I think I have some idea. I do know what some people have done to you, and I think they're assholes.

I'm sorry that you're feeling the way you do, and I only hope that in time things will change for the better for you.

But Lindsay, you have done so much for all of us. You have been an amazingly positive influence to many in our struggles, both personal and, sometimes, public. You do yourself wrong, I feel, in underestimating your contribution.

I know that you have sacrificed a lot for all of us, and for that you have a great deal of respect.

If it wasn't for you and others like you, many of us would still be wandering confused, frightened and lonely through this world.

So Lindsay, I hope you know the difference you have made, and that you should be proud of it. The sadness is what it has cost you, and I really do feel for you there.

Well, I just wanted you to know all this.

I hope that you're ok, Lindsay, and I hope that life improves for you, I really do.
