True stories can be just as erotic as a fictional one.

True stories can also be fiction. If you're ever robbed and the police ask you to describe the suspect, you might remember the suspect having dark hair. But people often remember things differently than how they actually happened. The suspect might have actually had blonde hair but you remembered dark hair. In the same way when we retell events that took place we often mix some fiction into it but not always on purpose.

Sometimes we mix in what we imagined happened with what actually took place. It's not the same as lying. The function of a lie is to deceive and manipulate. The lie serves a different purpose, usually a selfish one. A story is an expression of thoughts and feelings. Sometimes it is to entertain and sometimes it is told as a lesson. Sometimes we add things if it serves the function of the story better.

Lastly, I didn't mean your writing skills were inferior. You are more like me, an average writer. You're not great but you're not bad. If that hurts your feelings than I think you need to be more honest with yourself about your abilities.
