Yes, it does want to make you cry...

When I was younger, I was put in positions where I had to turn young girls away.

And I had no reason to doubt that their expressions of love were true - I know that they were. And, I'd have done anything to have expressed that love back. Maybe they wanted me to, needed me to.

But, I had to turn them away, nonetheless. And it hurt them, I know it did. I have the dubious honor of being their very first exerience of rejection. And they had the very same expression of that hurt puppy with them, too.

I didn't just want to cry, Stah - I did cry for them. I felt like such an asshole, and, I guess I was.

I don't hate society for that. Hate is something I must avoid, for good reasons. But, society is not my friend, for making me do that, and for the guilt I carry.

Now I'm older, I'm to children wherever I meet them the perfect cuddly uncle, the one who helps, who wipes tears, who will always understand. They come to me for everything, for help, for comfort, or just someone safe to be with.

And what is needed, is given.

But, you must give with nothing expected in return. That's important...

Oh, well...
