This is a true story. I was riding a bus several years ago - such a long time ago that this is safe to tell now.

It was early morning. I don't remember where I was going to, but I was standing because the bus was very full. There was a mother sitting with her little daughter, about 4; I heard what they were talking, and I guessed that the mother was taking her daughter to the day-care center.

The girl kept whining about this and that, she sounded petulant and querulous. I understood that she was sleepy and hated going to the day-care center. At one point she looked out of the window, pouting, and said in a loud voice, "OH FUCK I WISH I WERE ON PENSION ALREADY!!!"

Sorry for my imperfect English. I hope that the translation sounds as good as the original. Everyone in the bus laughed, though some tried to hide it. I laughed a lot.
