There were also a complete collection of كتاب ألف ليلة وليلة "Kitab alf lailah wa lailah" in our family's library. It's about a king who killed every of his brides after the wedding night, since he thought all women would be unfaithful. Then one woman started to tell stories at the wedding night without revealing the ending of the last story when the morning came. The king was so eager to hear the ending of the story so he let her live till the next night. But the girl was always sure to be far into another story before the next morning came. This way she was allowed to live night after night, morning after morning. She told stories for one thousand and one nights, and the king let her live. And they were of course happily married ever after and she gave him sons and daughters...
There were some "sexy" illustrations and erotic stories in the books. I enjoyed reading those stories as a child. I even read some of stories with my LGF (I was her LBF, we were at almost the exact age, with birthdays only days apart. We were together from 9-13, ca.)
:)
