Wow. Church was just fantastic today. Heard some good messages over the pulpit, had fun talking to my adult friends, AND got some nice attention from/interaction with some (very) young ladies! :-D First was a family with a number of sisters. As soon as they came to sit down in the pew behind me, the 12yo said 'hi' to me, with a smile. Then the 9yo followed. The 9yo had some sort of ID badge on her jacket, so I asked her what it was for. It was a ski pass; they'd been having some fun the past couple of days! A little while later, one of the younger ones called out my name, said 'hi,' then said, 'look what I found in my Bible,' and showed me a picture one of her sisters had drawn. And finally, the 3yo said a few words to me. Oh, and BTW, the 9yo is the one I've had a big crush on for the past year or so. She was wearing her eyeglasses today--she looks soooo adorable in glasses! And she had pigtails today, also. *grin*

Later in the day I got to hold a month-old baby girl for about 45 minutes. She slept the whole time, and was cute as a button! At first I thought she was rather short on eyelashes, but when I looked closer, saw that they are simply very light colored, and thus hard to see.

Yet later, I was visiting some friends, and their 4yo was all excited I had come over. After a while, she showed off her teddy bear, the makeshift bed she had made for him, his pillow, and the little 'bear blanket' she covered him up with. At one point I was talking at length about something, and the girl fell promptly asleep. Guess I was unbearably boring! But her parents joked that I should come over more often at that time of night so she'd get to sleep on time! I joked that I'd be too tempted to entertain her and bring picture books or something, and she wouldn't fall asleep like they hoped. LOL

More GMs than usual, and they really helped to brighten my mood.
