I agree that all you've said is so often the case. But I wouldn't say that all people see their kids as their own immortality or insurance for their genes to carry on, and then treat their kids as such (whether or not their the insecure type and therefore overprotect their kids, or the secure type and therefore raise their kids in a less impeded fashion). But most often this prolly is the case. Yes.

If they were'nt the type to see their kids as their own immortality then what other type might they be (you might be thinking)? Prolly a very irresponsible parent who is wrapped up in their own issues and who don't really care much what happens to their kids. THese are the types who don't teach their kids much of anything, and who rejoice at the moment they leave the house (during night or day - for it doesn't matter to them) with people these deadbeat parents never even met (or therefore approved of).
