I went to prison because I was wrong. I allowed the arrest, trial, and prison. I could have escaped the arrest. I could have left prison several times. But the point here is: I was wrong. I was abusive. It was WHY I allowed Society to lock me away.
Problem is, they let me back out without any real attempt to help me.
In spite of the lack of an interested Society, I helped myself. I am crime free because I choose to be not because of anyone or anything scaring me.
Much of what went on between me and my partner was abusive. So, too, there was some that was not. Problem is, most people just can't understand what that is. It is their loss and I am not really motivated anymore to attempt an explanation.
