Had a GM today!

Ok, it was at work of course.

I was checking out on the register this Mom and her two kids. A boy and a younger girl around age eight and ten. The boy was actually pretty cute too.

Anyway, the girl wanted some candy but her Mom said no, but the bold little girl (who had dark hair and freckles by the way) just stuck her arm out over all their purchases and asked me to check in the candy even though her mom had just said no.

I smiled and looked over at the mom, cause I sure didn't want to upset her. The mom told the girl again that the asnwer was no. She didn't pout or anything but just put the candy back and said in mild disapointment that she wanted it.

Now I don't want to give the impression that the mom was a bitch or anything, she wasn't. She calmly told her daughter "Yeah well there's a song about that, it's called You Don't Always Get What You Want." The girl responded: "Sing it!" I thought that was funny so I laughed a little.

The mom quietly sang the first verse, and the girl said "That's not a song!" The mom replied that she just hasn't heard of it, and maybe even the man (me, in my twenties) had never even heard of it either.

I laughed again and said "It's by the Rolling Stones" haha, she thought I never heard of the Stones!

Anyway I thought the funniest part was when the girl asked her mom to sing. heehee anyway..that's my little story.
