No truly free country should ever tolerate throwing someone in prison or censuring them in some manner if there is no evidence that they have caused an act of demonstrable harm to another person. The "it's better to be safe than sorry" mentality is utterly Orwellian and totally against the core principles of American jurisprudence.

Once you cross the line and say someone should be thrown in prison if they engage in any act, then you are no longer talking about freedom but a system of rules and regulations. So call it what it is.

Freedoms means, very simply, doing what you want. If you are not talking about that, then you are not talking about freedom. Period.

In a truely free society there would be no laws and everybody would be doing what they want. Just because you don't have a law against murder doesn't mean people will murder. If you are able to murder but don't want to, then your freedom is not being infringed in anyway by not murdering and you don't need a law that says you can't do it.

I'm not going to criticize anymore of it, you should already know where I stand.
