Where I think kea is coming from...

My impression is that kea has resigned himself to the world just as it is. Some people, when there is discord between them and their environment, change themselves rather than try to change the world around them.

By selecting different priorities, one can feel more satisfied, especially if those priorities are more attainable. Others may choose to set priorities that are hard to reach, accepting that it will be a long and fierce struggle to attain them...
