GC is not in any way close to even resembling a cult. I've studied cults extensively in an academic context, and your superficial, paint-by numbers analysis is worse than laughable. Much of your list doesn't apply (for example, it is *not* unreasonable to be wary of counselors due to mandatory reporting laws), and much of it is stretching the truth, at best, and outright slimy lying, at worst. We're more than welcoming of varying opinions here. That doesn't mean we have to pretend that they're all equally valid. I consider some of the bigotry towards minors displayed here to be as offensive as Goethe's racism (although the former is on-topic, at least). And to paint Dissident as a nascent cult-leader is particularly rich. He is heavily involved in B4U-ACT, an institution within "wider society" which I'm pretty sure doesn't share his views.

Another fallacy you attempt to slip by is the idea that because "GC shares [with some massaging of the facts] a few of the characteristics of a cult" that it is "on the wrong track." Sorry, but you could say that any social movement shares traits with a cult. Forming norms and values is what any community does. Every identifiable social group forms a group identity, and defines itself in relation to other groups.

What you're doing is trying to undermine the formation of in-groups and social movements on this board by creating a moral panic, one which has been tried here before (OMG Girl Cult!). It's pretty funny, given that you are the one with such a burning need to *belong* that you've tried to 'cure' yourself more than once, only to return here with no explanation or apology. You are, of course, welcome here, as this is primarily a support board, but your mind-games are distasteful. I find it particularly revolting that you would say "I know who you are" to Dissident, in light of the fact that you once threatened to out people on the board. I'd say he's right not to have a great deal of trust in self-loathing queers.

Everyone's welcome here, but yes, there are observable philosophical camps and activist groups within the milieu, and they're not always going to play nice, trust, or even like each other. People here are so independent-minded, in general, that trying to get them to work as a group would be like herding cats.
