The reason I mentioned it is to prove how your claim that "antis" are untrustworthy is false, and vice versa, that your belief that pros are a safe bet is bullshit. I really could care less who you are. It would be easy to ruin your career if I'd have wanted to do that. You irritate me to no end at times with your deliberate obtuseness, but I do not consider you my enemy, nor anyone else here (regardless of what I said several years ago.) In truth no one was ever in danger of being outed by me. The threats were just a means of gaining leverage against a group I saw turning against me.

Even if he does, it won't stop me from challenging him or other anti-choice MAAs in this community when I feel it's warrented, so he is free to leak it out to the antis if that is what he chooses to do the next time he has an emotional breakdown and decides the community is full of deluded cultists who are out to harm children.

You and Hen-Wen are the bullies here, Dissident, not me. I present ideas, and Hen-Wen throws stupid shit from years ago in my face, as if that's somehow an argument. I acted stupidly at the time; I've acknowledged that. But it has nothing to do with my points now at all, and it doesn't make you or Hen-Wen right. You're just dragging up old shit to scare people. It is one of the cult tactics I mentioned writ large, and obvious to anyone who is paying attention.

I am not saying he intended to make a veiled threat to me to "back off" from him and other anti-contact posters (at least not in his current state of mind), but I am simply saying that it wouldn't make any difference if he did, and I fully agree that the way he said it was rather creepy considering some of his past conduct.

My past conduct has no bearing on this. I was going through a lot of problems at that time and you know that. If you want to debate the issues, we'll debate them. If you want to distract people with ad hominem bullshit, then you can do it on your own.

And I am actually thankful that he let me know that someone I mistakenly trusted in the past apparently gave out my personal info to him, because this confirms some suspicions I have had of that person in the past. Anyone is capable of making mistakes, and that is why it's often important to know exactly what someone's ideology is, and that this does matter.

Then you know who it is. To be fair to him, he didn't come right out and say it, but he dropped enough clues that it led me right to you. I would've told you in private, but it just did not matter to me who you were and it wouldn't have changed anything. The person no longer posts here and seems to have dropped off the planet, near as I can tell. And to be honest, I'd completely forgotten about it, as it bore no relevance to my life.

And isn't Lat's constant claims that we are forming a "cult" mentality on this board a famous mantra of his own? He seems to be trying to embolden other anti-contact posters to come forth and try to create a prominent voice on this board and shout down the pro-choicers by accusing us of engaging in "cultish" behavior for not seeing their points as valid, because he can't stand the idea that there is even one place in all the world where the pro-contact ideology (even if differing variations of it) is the majority opinion. It seems like some agnostics on this board can't stand that thought either, and they see it as politically disadvantageous to acknowledge these obvious factions because it hurts their goal of building community.

I presented some of the warning signs of a cult and suggested that GC bore some similarities. But when was the last time I even mentioned anything about cults? Two, three years ago maybe? And when I did, I did say I don't ascribe to the view that GC is a full-on cult anymore. That's hardly a mantra, even by the broadest definition. Furthermore, the fact that you completely misread my motives and my reasoning demonstrates that you really have a thin grasp on human psychology, which worries me. You prove over and over again how naive you are in so many ways. You seem completely unaware of some rather obvious things, and you frame all of reality through your socio-political views, which are, at best, untried and at worst may be disastrous. You're a smart guy, Diss, but you lack wisdom and seem to have no concept of political compromise or the real-world conditions which often require it.
