It's simultaneously sad and humorous, in the more egregious cases of westernization, when high school girls magically become college coeds. Granted, some of those girls look a lot more like college girls than high school girls, but still.

Right. I say, what's the problem? If people like you, if people appreciate you - even if it means that people are attracted to you - why take that as something to be concerned about rather than flattered by? Oh, I know, it's because sex is dangerous and perverts only want to use you up and toss you aside, they don't care about you as a person.

Though a few of these cam girls complain about the "old pervs" who dare to admire them, none of them have any problem with milking their obvious sexual appeal for all its worth and receiving literally thousands of dollars worth of gifts from these smitten adult admirers every year.

Attitudes obviously differ from case to case, but I think there's a lot of doublethink going on. Criticize the old pervs and they can maintain some semblance of moral superiority (if not for themselves, then for the sake of salvaging their reputation), meanwhile, they continue to profit off of these men's "depravity".

Why all the repression? Why can't we admit that young girls are sexy, and that old men are going to look at them? Even if it seems icky to think about, since when has turning our backs on truth and clinging to convenient fantasies ever been good for us in the long run? Even if this kind of attraction were to create some sort of social problem, brushing it under the rug won't help us to deal with it. We ought to face the issues, and not hide from the facts. Like the fact that many men are attracted to minors (and this includes the majority of men who are attracted to developed 16 year olds), and that attraction is not simply (or even complicatedly) going to go away.
