I can honestly say I know how you feel, as I am sure quite a few others on GC can.

Being what we are makes the pain you feel almost inevitable, but, as much as you are in pain now, it will ease. I won't say it will go away, as the love you describe feeling, I don't think will ever truly go away, I know mine didn't, but, truth be known, I don't want it to, it is a part of me and helps to make me who I am.

As difficult as it is, try not to dwell on the negatives, try to think of the positives, the good times you had together, and keep them in a safe place in your heart.

It was a mutual decision so you parted with no hard feelings which is a cause for some happiness, and while you may never be together again as a couple, since you did part well you may find you have a wonderful friendship in the future when things don't feel so raw.

Above all stay positive and remember, you have lots of friends here. There are plenty of us here if you feel the need to talk, a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen.
