If you aren't already "out" to your brother I would advise against doing this. Certainly not now while you are in emotional distress.

I know you want to fall back on an emotional support system. But you can't create one if others aren't ready to listen. I generally advise against outing. And I do believe that if its done cautiously, then you don't out yourself when you need to, but when you don't need to.

I know you're hurting. I'm no believer in fate or destiny.

But how I felt after my breakup with Beatrice may be of some use.

If I'm the best one for Beatrice, then she'll still see that once parental opinions no longer restrict her. If she finds someone more compatible than me, then I should be happy for her.

Bea has made some wise choices and some foolish ones in the intervening years. But she's grown smarter because of them; even if a few recent ex-boyriends haven't.

Love and support can take many forms.
