Exhausted, but still... a GM

I am hitting that point of semester where I have pretty much no free time. With my 10-15 hours per week volunteering, my full-time classes, and my job, I barely have time to eat and sleep. Every semester I say I am going to slow down, but it never seems to happen.I have been trying to keep up on reading everyone's posts, but I apologize for not having time to do much in terms of responding.

This Sunday I got a surprise invitation to a barbecue at Maya's. I was faced with two choices: a) Stay at home and work on a paper that was due Monday b)Go spend the day at Maya's and pull an all-nighter to finish the paper.

Of course, I chose option (b). It turned out to be a really good choice. I got a lot of time to talk with her and we played a couple games of Apples to Apples. Near the end of the night, I was laying on the couch with blankets pulled over me. Maya came over and laid with me (only for a minute). It was short but sweet. As she grows older, these moments are coming less and less often, but I am glad to see that she is developing into an amazing young lady. Life is bittersweet.
