I was mostly just ranting about the assumption that Straight marriages are all something out of Pink Floyd's "The Wall;" where the Schoolmasters' relationships were stated thusly:

When we grew up and went to school,
There were certain teachers who would,
Hurt the children any way they could.

By pouring their derision,
Upon anything we did,
And exposing every weakness,
However carefully hidden by the kids.

But in the town it was well known,
When they got home at night, their fat and
Psycopathic wives would thrash them,
Within inches of their lives.

It smacks of sour grapes to describe the orientation we don't have as inherently unhappy. It isn't valid when its used to denounce sexual minorities. And its not valid when its used to denounce a majority.

Though I am reminded of Dorothy Parker's quote that "Heterosexuality isn't normal, its just common."

And Lateralus reminds us that exclusives aren't blind to beauty. The only folks who are, are the one's whose worldview must deny beauty. The haters and Antis have to avert their eyes lest their theories start to crumble.
