It's sad

It's sad that our society has come to this point where children and adults can't simply enjoy each other's company because of all the paranoia. This cannot be good for either children or adults, and I hate to think what effect it will have on children's development.

It would be really nice to befriend a total stranger child and for that to be ok. For now, though, the children I interact with are mostly the children of adult friends of mine.
