Hello again, all! Just wanted to share my LGM - I've mentioned my friend E, who has recently came into my life. The other day, I let her drive my car (with me running the pedals, of course!) - we and several other people (adults and kids) went on a country road and she got to guide the car at 40 mph for about 5 miles. She was ecstatic, and kept asking me if she was doing it right. I told her yep, E, YOU'RE AWESOME! At the end of the ride, I asked her if she enjoyed driving for her first time. She didn't hesitate a bit, but bent her neck back, placed a big wet kiss on my cheek, and said "Yep, Mimzy, YOU'RE AWESOME!!!" My heart just soared. What on earth could be more complete, more perfect, more real, or more powerful than a little girl's love? E and I have a real blast together. She loves horsey rides, video games, movies, and of course, driving. That night her and several siblings came to mimzyland to watch movies with my little mimzies. She cuddled with me (I'd naughtily lowered the thermostat in the house) and at some point we both fell asleep. I remained there, on the couch, all night, and woke up the next morning with my arms around her. She was all smiles, as well. My AG came in and said, "yeah, I was going to wake you, but you two looked so cute and cozy I couldn't bring myself to do it. So I got you a blanket, instead. Some dummy must have turned off the furnace - ???" Wow. When I awoke in her arms, I felt like all the stars had lined up for me. Like I was 30 years younger. Like I was alive. She gave me a thank you hug, and went on home. As I went out for the day, I said a silent prayer of thanks to God for making me what I am, and for allowing me this experience. That it was totally a non-sexual situation doesn't tarnish it for me in the least. I also bought flowers for the AG, kind of a "sorry I slept on the couch" thing (she thought, but it was really a 'THANK YOU for not disturbing me' thing) The universe, once again, is in perfect order (as always.) And everyone wins.
