Last summer I was visiting old friends I hadn't seen in years. Upon arrival, I discovered that various vitals, from soap to whiskey, were missing. A large mall had all the necessities.

Leaving the mall,I saw a gorgeous blonde, dressed in white shorts and t-shirt, running around the the parking lot. As I got closer, I noticed she was playing with a pink sticky hand. I stopped and smiled, fondly remembering how mad I used to drive my family with such a toy as a child. I admired her grace, how effortlessly she twisted and twirled, her perfect skin, nearly bronze, her flashing smile in the blazing sun, the hint of nipples through her t-shirt. I sent a prayer to this unknown goddess when, for a brief moment, she lost her focus and something pink flew by, inches from my face.
"My hand, my hand", she wailed and came running towards me, nearly crying, desperately trying to find it.
"Miss, miss. Just a second", I told her as we faced each other. She looked into my eyes, her pleading brown eyes on the verge of crying. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my hosts leaving the fall, I had but a few moments. "I loved sticky hands too, once.", I whispered, "and I hate to see a young lady in despair." A questioning smile appeared in her face, a ray of hope in her eyes. I handed her more than enough for 10 sticky hands. "A modest gift, for the joy you bring the world" I groaned inwardly, cursing my lack of sleep, what would she think? She was suprized, but ectastic. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!". She beamed at me, her eyes sparkled again. For a moment, all was well in the world.

In times of darkness, remember the light, the brief smile bestowed on us by the goddesses here on Earth.
