Try the old trick where you stretch and yawn and your arm "accidently" lands around her.

No, but seriously, if you have doubts about where the boundaries are, ie, you think "she'll back away", "chickening out" is the right call. It's not worth making her uncomfortable if you think she won't be receptive to it.
