See, [)ante, you are in good company. Even Abraham Ortelius' attempt to date his [)estiny in 1596 was not fully fruit bearing until after the 1960's and the explanation of tectonic plate theory. All humor aside, there is only our sense of humor to turn to whether our taste our will as failing us or heroically winning the day. The eventuality being determined by our viewpoint day by day, some days hour by hour.
Je ne suis que la mauvais tête/ Qui met des vers où cqui faut pas [I'm only the bad guy/(girl) who poetisizes what one ought not] Léo Ferré
Note: parenthesis mine.

"When you gotta play patty-cake you gotta play patty-cake even if you gotta play patty-cake alone."
Thar, is ware she blows for the moment for the majority of the world's MAA's.
As for continental drift over, I've never seen continental drift occur over a game of scrabble, scallops with herbed butter, and a bottle of Harveys Bristol Creme Sherry. Now as for asking her to dinner at your place-as well as cooking the dinner-that might take a shift of strategy approaching a tectonic event.:)
Warmly, ξms
