Two Tropical GMs

I was recently in Florida with my family to see my cousin graduate high school, and I have never realized how lovely the girls are down there!

First is E. 4 years old, blonde, angelic, and mischievous. We were both in the pool (she's the daughter of the friend of a family), along with nearly a dozen obnoxious teens. E and I play as she splashes in the pool, bringing her little legs crashing down into the water, and I play the grump "Are you doing that splashing?" with my best evil eye (which isn't very good). She giggles and denies it vigorously. it comes to the point where I turn around, catch her mid-splash and grab her lightly by her feet and tickle, she no in hysterics. Her mother and my aunt love this, and were even impressed! Apparently E doesn't talk or play to anyone really. LGs know, I think, when they meet someone who likes them.

Second happens the same night. My cousin's friend and fellow graduate bring her little sister to the house. She is 10, almost 11, and lovely with long brown hair, long legs and adorable braces. She is a cheerful, chatty girl and talks with all of us. She sits down on the couch and gets involved in her cell phone, from which game sounds emanate. I ask what she is playing, and she says Angry Birds. I ask if she had ever played Portal. "What's Portal?" So I grab a computer, sit down next to her, her lovely feet resting beside me, and show her the trailers for both Portal games. She watches wide eyed and finally, "That looks so cool!" It's fun to geek out with anybody, but geeking out with a little girl is heaven!
