Hmmm. The "opening a vacuum-sealed jar task" so stereotypically "manly;" and yet the only males in your narrative can't quite muster the strength. ( And you know what Freud would say about "pickles?" )

Speaking of yummy, I was in a restaurant the other day watching a bunch of energetic Latinas chasing each other around in the mostly empty room adjacent to mine. The señoritas were wearing fancy dresses like they'd come from flamenco class.

Another family had a toddler boy, a baby girl and an older girl ( about 7; ) all Hispanic. At one point the LG had taken the toddler out for a "walk." She was holding him up, so he didn't have to expend any effort to walk across the carpet in his bare feet. Then she held him way up. I wondered what she was up to until I saw that she had the toddler boy "walking" across a nearby table. Part of me was aghast at the thought of toddler footprints across a clean dining table. But the other thought that she was developing in her brother not only walking skills, but a monstrous sense of entitlement ;p

Anywho. Its a recipe for success. Take an already pleasant day. Add little Latinas. Stir :)
