GM on a plane

So I recently had to fly interstate for a week. I experienced a couple of brief but memorable GMs - one at the airport, the other on the plane.
Since i was travelling alone i had imagined how cool it would be to be seated next to an LG. I had booked a window seat so there were 2 vacant seats next to me, a mother and little daughter perhaps? 2 sisters? I had fantasized about making conversation with a cute LG during the entire flight.

While waiting at the airport prior to boarding I noticed there were quite a few LGs with their families. Not surprising considering it was summer break. There was this one family standing almost in front of me, slightly to my left. There were 2 daughters- the older one looked about 11-12 (just above my aoa) but was cute, while the younger one looked about 4-5. She was also quite cute, not a stand-out but caught my attention... i just stared at her trying to make eye contact. She was just looking around, locked eyes with me and just stared back. I should've smiled or something, but i just kept a blank face. Not sinister-looking or anything, just blank. Maybe afraid someone might notice. I looked away briefly but she was still staring when i looked back. I thought it was quite cute, the whole staring contest lol I guess she was just intrigued, kinda like "why are you staring at me?"

Once seated on the plane, i was anticipating who would be sitting next to me... please be an LG! I was one of the first persons onboard. Naturally, it wasn't to be. Two guys took the seats. I kinda felt the chances were pretty low anyway yet I was a little disappointed. It would've been a great chance to actually talk... to an LG. That's all i wanted, a chance opportunity to have some meaningful conversation with a little angel.

So I figured well that's the end of that... until halfway through the flight, i notice an LG popping her head up from a seat 2 rows ahead. She was seated exactly in front of me, just 2 rows down. Again she looked about 4-5.. beautiful little brunette, brown eyes, really glowing. Not the same girl as earlier but even cuter imo. She was looking at the people seated in front of me... 2 middle-aged folk and an elderly lady, who seemed to just ignore her for the most part. How envious i was of the lady in front of me. I sat up straight so she could see me better and just stared again, but she just wasn't looking around. Eventually, she looked beyond and saw me. This time i gave a warm smile and she gave me this cheeky little grin in return. It was so heart-warming. She then returned to gazing at the row in front of me... though i never stopped staring at her. I was probably the only person who paid any attention to her lol
This would go on for a few more times, randomly popping her head up but rarely looking beyond one row back. She gave me another look, this time i gave a discreet little wave. She was still smiling but didn't wave back. I was being discreet partly because of the two guys sitting next to me... around my age. They may wonder why i'm trying to attract the attention of a little girl lol But they didn't seem to notice.

Anyway, the plane landed and that was that. It was not quite the GM i envisioned but was better than nothing. I later wondered if i had been one of the last to board.. or THE last, if there was a vacant seat next to an LG i could just take it and pretend it was my assigned seat. The flight was not completely full though i didn't notice any spare seats next to LGs from where i was sitting. Just an afterthought.
