In all honesty, my friend, I could deal with my grandfather's crass choice of conversation topics and sense of humor much better if he simply didn't display them every effing time I happen to be eating around him. I have a very weak stomach when I'm eating, and he knows that.
I believe I still have your e-mail addy, but you may want to write me again as soon as you can, just so I can make sure I still have it (unfortch, my address book has been completely filled to capacity for a while now).
I forgot that it was you who asked me if I will ever be likely to see D again, and I gave the answer to Gatekeeper instead. I apologize for that, and this is how I answered verbatim:
"As for my likelihood of ever seeing D again, it's unfortunately not very likely. She is a friend of my 18-year-old cousin, and I usually only see him on holidays and special occasions (like his graduation), and it's only during the summer that we have parties of this nature, where many friends of relatives are invited in addition to our relatives themselves. I am not sure how long my cousin has been friends with her, but I have never seen her before.
"Yes, it is a shame I couldn't ask her to exchange numbers and maybe eventually ask her out after I got to know her better, and if it turned out she had that type of interest in me also. Then again, if she is not into older guys, I wouldn't want to risk creeping her out by asking her. Due to the type of society we live in today, with its rampant age segregation and its heavily biased media, she may be one of the many girls who are indoctrinated with the belief that any guy my age who shows any degree of beyond casual interest in girls under 18 are a dangerous threat to their well-being. It would break my heart if that happened with an AG I admired, since I am the type of guy who finds it very hurtful if I inadvertently creep out any girl or woman I am interested in by showing an interest in them."
As for using AG lingo, it's one of my fave pastimes, and I have always done it quite often :-) It tends to drive most of my friends crazy since, as typical adults, they have been conditioned to believe that they are supposed to find AG attributes annoying rather than endearing and awesomely cute and creative, as I do. And I am damn proud to pay homage to AGs by adopting their lingo and popular abbreviations.
And thank you for complimenting my style of posting GMs. I like to prove that posters do not have to be puerile and banal when describing their attraction to a girl on a board, and there are several other posters here who make beautiful and respectful GMs, including Sancho Panza. It's perfectly possible for the people here to express their level of admiration for girls without using crude street language, or focusing exclusively or near-exclusively on the physical attributes of the girl that they admired, making graphic statements about what they want to do to them in their fantasies, etc. It's not wrong to have fantasies, but I do not think it's wise or respectful to girls to describe them in detail on a public board like this, especially when next to nil was said about the girl's many non-physical attributes that they likewise found appealing.
And you do not have to be a particularly good or articulate writer to speak respectfully about girls you admired when composing GMs. I am not afraid to admit that I often wonder about the posters who cannot make respectful or non-banal GMs that probably horrify every single "on the fence" teleiophile lurker who peruses the board every day and make them wonder if the antis may "possibly" be "right" about us.
