I hear you, man, as I also cannot keep up with every new law passed regarding adults taking pics of minors and storing them on their cell phones. Especially since we all know that whenever one isolated incident involving a cell phone camera or text occurs, and it gets enough press coverage--and people love reading about stuff like that, so it often does--then yet another new harsh law that basically punishes everyone in the nation for what one or a few idiots have done is sure to follow. The powers-that-be in our society look for every little excuse they can to pass further laws of this nature when we are already in the throes of an utter police state mentality when it comes to keeping adults and those legally designated "minors" separated in two completely different worlds which co-exist on the same planet, and any adult who is not a parent, teacher, coach, counselor, or pediatrician must avoid contact with the world set aside for underagers with if they know what's good for them.

And as much as I would have loved to have taken a pic of D on my cell phone so I always had a reminder of the wonderful minutes I spent interacting with her, I didn't want to ask her if I could snap one of her because I didn't want to come off as "creepy" for being an adult man who asked an underage girl whom he just met and only spoke to for 30 minutes if he could take a pic of her. I didn't want to risk her asking my cousin something along the lines of, "Is that older cuz of yours some kinda pervert, man? I was really 'creeped out' when he asked to take a pic of me with his cell phone, because I think he may have wanted to jack off to it at night or something like that, or maybe put it online for other 'old' pervs like him to whack off to." As I said, I am very self-conscious about coming off as "creepy" to AGs, especially since they are conditioned to perceive any guy my age who acknowledges their existence as a likely threat to them, or some kind of "pervert." In short, I wanted her to like me at least as a person.

And I also didn't want to risk making my cousin look bad in front of his friends, or regret having me as a cousin and become reticent about me talking to his friends at future gatherings. Those of us who are out of the toybox need to be very concerned about our conduct in public, especially around minors, because we could hurt the entire community if we make a mistake at the wrong time with the wrong people, as I am sure most of us are aware.
