As an interracial guy myself, I have difficulty understanding those (not just paeds, this also applies to teleios) who only date within their race. This is not meant to be disparaging, by the way; it's only that I find it strange, basically because I cannot identify: almost every girl could be considered of a different race or ethnicity than myself, so I essentially do this all the time.

You are generally speaking right that white/Anglo girls are less accessible than Latina girls. Of course, the variation there is at the level of individual families, but the surrounding culture makes Hispanic families likelier than Anglo families to have daughters who cherish the attention rather than going all paranoid. Likelier. Not "sure" in either direction.
