Well, I would opine that the degree of my talkativity being a severe problem depends on whether or not one finds what I have to say interesting or not, as Oakie pointed out elsewhere in this thread. Individual mileage will vary, of course.

And I gave both of them plenty of opportunities to talk. I never meant to imply that I was doing literally 99% of the talking, without either of them ever being able to get a word in edgewise. I simply meant that I talked a lot, though Sancho and I had some very good convos, and he got to say a lot. It was understandable that A was a shy girl, and she was indeed very tired after the one-two blows of the long flight to see me and dealing with the vestiges of the jet lag. Also, she is not fully fluent in English, so I'm not sure how much of my words she understood. Nevertheless, I go out of my way to be a gracious host, just as Sancho and A were very good and polite guests.
