I've now watched the movie, it was certainly good but not necessarily incredible. If I find enough free time I could work on subtitles, but that's doubtful for the moment.

The characters were interesting though acted a bit flat, as to be expected from what I'm fairly certain was a made-for-TV movie. But plenty of very "French" happenings, as noted in the threads linked to by Minstrel.
