1. I see no evidence that B4U-ACT encourages the lowering of, or doing away with, age of consent.

2.I see no evidence that B4U-ACT (oh, how I hate this name) encourages the dismissal of RSO laws.

3.I see no evidence that .... encourages the repeal of anti-sex laws that negatively affect Boy/Girl Lovers.

We're not an activist organization that is trying to change any laws but I believe we support CLs in other ways by educating psychologists, sexologists and sociologists about our community, and I believe what they do and think does have an effect on how everyone reacts and treats us, so I believe it will contribute to helping and supporting the community in the long run. I should also mention we're certainly on friendly terms with people from RSOL for instance, even if we don't have any official involvement with them or their work.

We certainly don't mind trying to change anti sex attitudes that would make people think there's something sick or deviant about having feelings of attraction and love for young people, I'm sorry if you feel we're only doing good if we're challenging laws, but it's just not our focus. We don’t really have the means or connections for such things even if it was our focus.

4.I see no evidence that .... is willing to change its name to something more acceptable to all Boy/Girl Lovers. How fucking difficult could that be?

Since the amount of people who absolutely hate the name is still actually pretty low, we haven't devoted too much time to a name change. Our goals have not really been stalled because some CLs misinterpret the title, so it’s hard for us to feel it’s a pressing issue. It is slightly more difficult than you realize to change the name of an established government registered
501(c)(3) organization, one that consists of only volunteers who have trouble devoting all the necessary time to our work as it is.

5. I see no evidence that .... is making any real, positive changes in the mental health community towards Boy/Girl Lovers.

6. I see no evidence that .... any of the fucking shit you do matters to this fucked up damned world.

We've had numerous professionals and students attend our workshops who felt they've learned alot. We've changed many attitudes. As well we've given a number of talks at universities. These MHPs and students have learned many things and will take it with them as they continue along their careers.

The difference we're making is probably not very visible at first glance, but I'm sure these people will not forget us and what we’ve discussed with them will have an impact in the long run.

We know of people in the mental health community that want to have a positive impact and work with MAPs, and we assist them in any way we can, although aside from hosting workshops, are resources are somewhat limited.

Again, it’s unfortunate that you feel we don’t have any use if we’re not trying to change any laws, but I believe changing perceptions and attitudes of people in an influential field of work is important and useful as well.
