And those in 1950s Hollywood were told to inform on their fellow artists, "regardless of [their] feelings about them".

And those under threat by the Catholic Inquisition were told to save their souls by informing on others, "regardless of [their] feelings about them".

None of this has anything to do with Andrew. He's shown good character as far as I've seen him on this board and around the internet. He's one of the few mental health professionals willing to work with us in good faith. The fact that he is legally bound to report information about sex crimes takes nothing away from that.

He was just being upfront with us about that, which I think is honorable, albeit unnecessary in my case and yours and most of our cases here. And I think his comment was aimed more at explaining his general policies in practice rather than for our online community in particular. You keep jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst and it really is quite unbecoming. Please figure this out finally and stop it.
