I too sometimes feel isolated from the 'true' pedo community because I think an 11 or 12 year old is far more appealing (physically and emotionally) than a 6 or 7 year old. I also find teen girls (technically speaking, 13-19) very appealing. That's not to say that I discriminate against sub-ten year olds, of which I've seen many worth admiring (although there is a point under which I feel that a child is simply too young - only for me, personally - to relate to on a sort of romantic or sexual level).

But because the peak of my attraction involves a little process called puberty, which is often the bane of what genuine pedophiles admire in a little girl, there is some minor psychological conflict there. Still, if I don't fit in 100% with pedophiles, it just means I can be considered that much less abnormal by the mainstream (not that I value the mainstream's opinion, but their favor does bestow potentially strategic advantages). Still, though, few people are willing to make a distinction between a person attracted to 12 year olds and a person attracted to 6 year olds. Cognitively, there may be some difference, but in the end, everyone under 18 is a child and so it's all kiddy fiddlin' to them.

But then, that's precisely the reason I'm here, and it's the reason I've taken the time to learn about (genuine) pedophilia, and discover why it's a righteous cause to fight for, and one that I will absolutely defend, even if society lowered the age of consent to 12 tomorrow. Because it's the right thing to do, and I've always been about doing the right thing, which is why I've come to the place I'm at right now. Otherwise, who knows how I would have rationalized my feelings and what beliefs I would have come to hold.
