"MAPs...are always buffeted with a set of assumptions that conveniently are almost impossible to prove under even the most stringent forms of investigation, but which they can easily be indicted for sans any type of investigation to prove those assumptions whatsoever simply because they had the relationship."

It requires effort to actually distinguish abusive relationships from non-abusive ones (allegedly). We can eliminate that effort by stating that all relationships are abusive, so that the existence of the relationship itself constitutes proof of abuse. The collateral damage is, of course, non-abusive relationships, but hey, as long as it prevents abuse (though, strangely, it doesn't), who cares if it squashes humanity's capacity to love? Pretty soon, the abuse narrative is so firmly entrenched, that we begin to actually believe it, and it sustains itself.
