Yes, her owies really needed some love and tender care and some comforting kisses.

I got really sad when I saw what had happened. I heard the daughter was unreasonable. And she was nagging very loudly on and on for more than 5 minutes. Her nagging was a lot more louder than her crying was, later. So I can understand the mother was mad. But to spank her? That was very bad...
