While mental frameworks vary widely with individuals, the examples of problems given had only 2 possible answers; one specific right one, and one specific wrong one.

The way they were structured led people who didn't look closely to subtracting the dollar from the "dollar more" problem and halving the number of days from the "doubling" problem.

I'm sure that they could have tested for frameworks if they wanted to. But they removed that from their questions.
