Silas Marner, by George Eliot, has a reasonably good man girl relationship.

Though I haven't read it, The Thorn Birds, by Colleen McCullough, includes a relationship that starts while the girl is quite young.

Of course, the first relationship is not sexual, and in the latter case the relationship is only briefly sexual - and after the girl has grown up. But sex is only a part of such relationships anyway.

More broadly, relationships between men and girls were not historically distinguished from relationships between men and women - so there may be a great deal more examples that we just don't think about. Probably at least a few episodes of The Tale of Genji, by Murasaki Shikibu, would qualify.

(As an aside - notice anything about all these authors?)
