Re: Want to volunteer for GirlChat?

Speaking as someone who has been a Staff Member at a GL forum (VoA), I really don't think these things are nearly as mutually exclusive as you seem to make them out to be (there are Moderators here who also volunteer with B4U-ACT). While I certainly don't discount the time and effort required to be a Staff Member, I also believe that the potential to change our lot in life for the better lies more with real life activist/support groups like B4U-ACT than it does with in-house online support groups like this site and VoA.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to volunteer at these sites (I'm starting to volunteer again now, in a different capacity), but ultimately it is effectively some variation of preaching to the choir for the most part. And I also don't discount the value in that either. But we definitely shouldn't automatically discount the very great potential in volunteering for real life activism and support. Hopefully, we will see some results in real life soon, and B4U-ACT seems to be leading the way in that.
