We go off topic all the time here, I will have to admit that I sometimes feel the same like Hierophant. Especially the type of posts that start with something like " Hi, I'm Newbie698, I like girls from 8 to 10 yo, what is your AoA?" makes me want to scream in agony:-)
It's no rule or anything, but a good custom to start an off topic thread with the extension (OT) so readers who are not interested in off topic subjects can skip it.
