I don't doubt that we are often shaped by expectations from society and cultural practices but that is perhaps not likely when one has good recollections surrounding events as I certainly did regarding my abuse. I came to my own conclusions based on good evidence as to the intentions of the other person and what occurred. Anecdotal evidence is useful but usually not defining as to what happens in other cases. As an individual I can't look inside another's mind to see how they make mistakes with their memory I can only look into my own mind.
